Hooi! i started this site to archive my art, and it snowballed from there. born in november 1993. i'm a hobby artist and currently doing my master in evolutionary ecology. i wanted a personal site because it gives me more control over what to post and how. i also really enjoy coding with HTML and CSS so it has become a modest hobby.
i got the name Myrtletribe from a random elf name generator when i was little. up till now i've mostly posted my art on social media like bluesky and tumblr. i still do but i wanted something that was my own. i have no idea what i'm doing and it's an eternal work in progress lol.

i handcode this site using Notepad++ and Librewolf, with a display resolution of 2560x1440 at 125%
i'm in the process of optimizing the site for mobiles. BUT... i own a very tiny Jelly Star android and never use it to browse. so it will probably never look perfect on phones
