Hooi! i started this site to archive my art, and it snowballed from there. born in autumn 1993. i'm a hobby artist and currently doing my master in evolutionary ecology.
i got the name Myrtletribe from a random elf name generator when i was little. up till now i've mostly posted my art on social media like bluesky and tumblr. i still do but i wanted something that was my own. i have no idea what i'm doing and it's an eternal work in progress lol.

i'm in the process of optimizing the site for mobiles. BUT... i own a very tiny Jelly Star android and never use it to browse. so it will probably never look perfect on phones. the very tiny phone in question:

My favourite....
fruit: wild peach, elderberry (jam), golden kiwi
colour: limegreen, juniper, dandelion
flower: dandelion, orchid
food: lentil soup, khoreshte gheymeh, cheese, seabass
moth species: Kentish Glory (Endromis versicolora), which i had the pleasure of finding on Schiermonnikoog and doing thermoregulation trials with. i just think the colours and shape are perfection. gaze upon it yourself:
